In my many travels to off-the-beaten-path cemeteries around the United States, I have never seen a grave quite like this one. The entire thing was made out of iron. It was definitely smaller, however, the inscription put the person’s life span as 17 years. This was either a very tiny teenager, or they were a dwarf. Not sure. According to some research I did, this type of iron marker was popular during the Victorian period. The person’s date of death fell within that period. Of the hundreds of graves at this particular cemetery, this was the only one like this.
